The ACCESS U Laurier and Laurier Innovation & Technology Club have come together for a second year of collaboration to present a Community Case Challenge: Future of Education.

This event focuses on social entrepreneurship, which is defined as the act of identifying & recognizing a social problem and using entrepreneurial principles to achieve this social change.

The case challenge will be focused on the idea of education and creating a stronger system for students. As the social impact sector is often belitted for a lack of large-scale initiaitves and information sharing, this workshop allows the leaders of tomorrow to collaborate around an important topic. 

How it works?

1. Guest speaker will kick-off the workshop
2. Each organization will present their initiatives & case challenge
3. Attendees break off into mini groups and have 1 hour to complete the challenge
4. Maximum 3-minute pitches to panel of judges
5. Group with the most feasible and creative plan wins prize

He will be talking about how he runs TEDxWaterloo, and how to become successful.  He’s an incredible individual who has been a Senior Manager of Business Solutions at Research in Motion (RIM); a Software Engineer for LSI Logics; and freelance photographer.  This year, he has been acclaimed to the ‘Top 40 under 40′ achievement in the Waterloo Record.

Refreshments will be provided.

Admission is by donation.  All donations will help with a Library and Resource development project in Haiti.
