This book is a visual presentation of a powerful poem written by Mariela Jenkin. The poem was written one month after the tragic January 2010 Haiti earthquake, as a reminder that people can support eachother no matter where they live. Though the book’s title may imply it is about one boy, instead it captures the shared feelings of several. Along with the poem verses are selected quotes as words of inspiration and hope for the future. All photography was shot in Haiti during a summer volunteer trip, only eight months after the earthquake.
